I bought a new table for them. I recently realized that they have trouble concentrating
and getting things done properly whilst sitting in an upright "deskcular" position. That will never do since most public colleges don't take to upside-down-on-the-couch type readin' and writin'. Nor do proper businesses of any type that may one day hire my young ones. So, we are to practice sitting up straight and writing out test sheets.

ReplyDeleteI would like to point out that, while it is true that most universities and employers do not let you do your work sitting on the floor or reading upside down, I have yet to hear of a single Sonlighter who had trouble in college or on the job because they grew up reading in a tree, or lounging on the couch, or hanging off their bed...
All that to say: Don't let the torture kill the love of learning [smile].
